All aspects of conduct with a cane are challenging. Be it physical or psychological. Those who cannot walk or have difficulty walking without it are using it to ease their daily routine. It creates a situation where a person is dependent on an object due to uncontrollable circumstances. Confusion, and a sense of inability may also produce frustration and distress.
The paradoxical element revolves around the fact that although a cane is intended to alleviate burden, it often creates it. Instead of being a rock to lean on, it is an object that can makes life complicated.

The project

The intention of this project was to give the user/consumer  confidence, and hence make the interaction with the object a relaxing experience.  The design included the following modifications. The weight-wedge penetrating the base of cane and produces a wide and heavy base that allows individuals to stay upright, alert and available. The Cane stands still independently.
